Baltimore County Case Search

In order to get access to the case records, you must accept the agreement on the website by clicking the "I Agree" button.

You need to select "Baltimore County" from the drop-down list of the County, fill out the search fields of other search criteria, and click the "Search" button.

You can also use the Search By Case Number by selecting "District Court" or "Baltimore County Circuit Court" from the drop-down list of the Court and entering the case number in the search field. You will get the case record after clicking the "Get Case" button.

You can send a written notice to the court where the original record was created if you believe the information displayed on the case records is not accurate.

Baltimore County Circuit Court

According to the Maryland Constitution and State law, the Baltimore County Circuit Court is the trial court of general jurisdiction, with the powers and jurisdiction in serious criminal cases and civil cases in Baltimore County. The duties of the Circuit Court include: hearing all civil or criminal jury trials, all criminal cases, major civil cases over $30,000, major felony cases, and juvenile and other family law cases such as divorce, custody, child support, and visitation.

The Office of Clerk of the Baltimore County Circuit Court

The Clerk of the Circuit Court is a locally elected State officer governed by the laws of Maryland and the Rules of the Supreme Court of Maryland. Julie Ensor was elected the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. There is an Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, which has provided various crucial services for the residents since 1658. The Clerk’s Office records, manages, and preserves civil, criminal, and juvenile actions and files land deeds, plats, mortgages, conveyances, etc.

Baltimore County District Court

The District Court was established on July 5, 1971, as a result of an amendment to the Maryland Constitution. It is a court of record with statewide jurisdiction that is entirely funded by the state. The District Court has mutual jurisdiction with the Circuit Court both in civil and criminal cases and has exclusive jurisdiction in cases such as civil claims for $5,000 or less. The District Court does not conduct jury trials.
