Harford County Case Search

There are two search criteria that you can choose to search records - search by Company or Person and by Case Number.

By Company or Person, you need to enter the name in the search box and select Harford County from the drop-down list of the Count. You can narrow your search results by providing more exact information.

By Case Number, you need to enter the case number in the search box and select Harford County Circuit Court or District Court from the drop-down list of the Court.

You will get a wealth of information about the court records including the case information, involved parties, judgment, documents, service, and so on.

Harford County Circuit Court

Harford County Circuit Court was established in Bel Air, Maryland by the Maryland Constitution in 1851 as part of the Third Judicial Circuit and the Second Appellate Circuit. It is a trial court of general jurisdiction, with power and jurisdiction in more serious criminal cases and major civil matters. There are six full-time judges, three family law/juvenile magistrates, and some retired judges who are recallable in the Circuit Court. Cases can be decided by both juries and a judge only.

Clerk of the Harford County Circuit Court

The Clerk of the Harford County Circuit Court has been a State official elected by the residents of Harford County since 1658. His responsibilities are established and regulated by the laws of Maryland and the Rules of the Supreme Court of Maryland. He serves the public in recording criminal, civil, and juvenile cases, and filing land deeds, mortgages, plats, conveyances, etc. Michelle Karczeski is the Clerk of the Harford County Circuit Court.

Harford County District Court

Harford County District Court has the jurisdiction in all landlord-tenant disputes, traffic violations, replevin actions, misdemeanors, and some felonies. It has exclusive jurisdiction in civil cases with a maximum of $5,000 and has concurrent jurisdiction with the Circuit Court in both civil and criminal cases. The District Court does not conduct jury trials.
